Position Summary

The Web Support Specialist is primarily responsible for updating and maintaining websites, supporting the content management systems \(CMS\) for Weill Cornell Medicine, and resolving end\-user issues\. The Web Support Specialist participates in all aspects of website design and development as well as training and go\-live support\. This position works directly with management and other team members on a variety of projects to help the Web Communications team meet short\- and long\-term goals\.

Job Responsibilities

+ Works with the online service request queues and interdepartmental service requests to triage and resolve customer website change requests and incidents to departmental standards\. Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction\.

+ Teams with other functional areas to manage the resolution of cases that involve multiple areas of technical expertise\.

+ Participates in aspects of the website development and implementation as needed to support site launches, application go\-lives and upgrades\. Participates in quality assurance process for all site launches\.

+ If needed, performs on\-call \(off hours\) duties, which include but are not limited to the monitoring of email, participating in group calls, and liaising with other team members for the timely resolution of high priority issues\.

+ Consistently checks completed work requests for accuracy and quality\.

+ Maintains a level of technical proficiency to satisfactorily perform functions associated with the position


+ Bachelor's Degree in related field


At least 1\-year experience in web editing, web development, CMS, and web design\.

At least 1\-year experience providing application support and professional services in a healthcare specialty, business, education or relevant field\.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Ability to work with others in a multi\-functional team\.

+ Attention to detail, patience, and a positive, customer\-centric attitude are all also required\.

+ Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills\.

+ Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to develop proficiency with unfamiliar tool sets\.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Ability to work off\-hours and weekends for go\-lives, testing and emergencies is required\.

Light travel between office locations, primarily within NYC is required\.
