The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is seeking applicants for Vice President, Administrative Services, positions that plan, direct, evaluate and are held accountable for effective conduct of the business affairs of a college. Current vacancies exist at West Los Angeles College, 9000 Overland Avenue, Culver City, CA 90230 and Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, 400 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90015. The college business operations include the following:

 

Budget Formulation and Management

Accounting and Financial Reporting

Facilities Planning and Construction

Building & Grounds Operations and Maintenance

Information Technology

Data Security Management

Information Systems Audit

Procurement and Contracts Management

Human Resources

Enterprise Services Administration

Safety and Security Services

 

ANNUAL SALARY: $169,714 to $199,285

*Salary Information is based on a full-time, 12-month position

 

BENEFITS

           District-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance plans for employee and dependents.

           $50,000 District-paid life insurance policy.

           12 full-pay days and 88 half-pay days of illness leave annually.

           A minimum of 15 paid holidays per year.

EXAMINATION PROCESS

 

The examination process may consist of one or more parts which may include a training and experience evaluation and/or oral interview.

 


ACCOMMODATION

Documentation of the need for accommodation is required solely for the purpose of establishing that the applicant has an qualifying ADA disability and that the disability necessitates a reasonable accommodation. District Information

The Los Angeles Community College District is the largest community college district in California. Its nine community colleges are located throughout an area of 882 square miles within the County of Los Angeles. Its includes the entire City of Los Angeles, a number of other incorporated cities such as Alhambra, Beverly Hills, Culver City, and Monterey Park as well as unincorporated areas of the County. The District serves a student population of approximately 134,000. The college offer student transfer education to four-year colleges and universities, associate degrees, vocational education, and a diversity of certificate programs in special interest areas.

Requirements

A master’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in business administration, public administration, finance, economics, or a related field

AND

Five years of recent, full-time, paid, professional-level experience in a senior management position with responsibility for corporate/entity-wide business operations of an organization employing a minimum of 250 employees. Qualifying experience must have included responsibility for at least two line functions such as facilities management and construction, finance, human resources, information technology, and purchasing and contracts. Experience must have also included the supervision of staff, which included professional-level employees. Experience with a public educational institution is desirable.

 

Special:

 

A valid Class “C” California driver's license must be obtained within 10 days of establishing residency in the State of California.

 

Travel to locations throughout the District is required.
