Position Summary

Responsible for sourcing, identifying and screening interested, affordable and highly qualified talent for recruitment staff to present to hiring managers\.

Job Responsibilities

+ Works with HR colleagues to develop and dissiminate an external employer brand to define our culture and promote Weill Cornell Medicine as an employer of choice\.

+ Partner with recruiters to conduct search plan meetings with hiring managers with the purpose of identify the specifics of the position, the attributes of the successful candidate, the benefits of working for the department and the timeline for the search\.

+ Utilize effective sourcing strategies, including social media platforms and database mining/web searches to generate candidate leads\. Develop a network of sources and relationships to identify high potential applicants\.

+ Creates and implements high impact sourcing programs such as working with hiring managers to provide potential candidate pools to exposure to Weill Cornell Medicine departments and operations\.

+ Review, screen and evaluate applicants to determine if their background and qualifications meet the current or potential needs of our hiring managers\. Assesses candidate presentation via pre\-interview methods\.

+ Using affirmative action plan metrics, determine deficiencies in diversity staffing and develop recruitment sources to identify diverse candidates\.


+ Bachelor's Degree in related field


Approximately two years experience conducting active candidate sourcing using a variety of traditional and contemporary seach methods\.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Functional knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws\.

+ A knowledge of the tenants of excellent customer service and the ability to demonstrate these skills to all constituencies\.

+ Proven track record of sucess in developing high impact sourcing methods to identify key talent in various functional areas\.

+ A positive and engaging presence, and ability to present well in person and on the telephone\.

+ Experience with high volume, entry\-level administrative recruiting\.
