This position is responsible for the hiring, training, management, and development of the Student Finance colleagues for DeVry Online Services.
Manage, develop, and motivate a team of assigned colleagues who administer financial assistance to students, and make effective suggestions and recommendations regarding the performance and employment status of assigned colleagues.
Reviews and recommends changes and/or implementation of departmental policies and procedures to increase efficiency of operations and to meet changing regulation requirements.
Provides educated and professional responses both verbal and written to internal or external customers.
Serves as liaison between all departments and the student financing office to coordinate policies and guidelines pertaining to all student financial options.
Direct and advise student finance colleagues in the handling of student issues.
Interprets federal regulations, guidelines and professional literature and informs colleagues of changes, modifications and interpretations resulting from new or current legislation.
Compiles statistical reports regarding financial data to recommend staffing and to report on current activities of function.
Ability to manage more than one function within the department
Completes other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required
3 years student finance experience and a working knowledge of Title IV Regulations preferred.
Previous supervisory experienced preferred.
Excellent customer service skills along with written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to work in a proactive and fast paced student finance environment.
Flexibility to work evening and weekends as needed.
Proficiency and accuracy in all Microsoft Office applications.
