Description Position Summary
Under general direction, this position is responsible for the implementation and administration of the NetWeaver Application Server and development environment during the implementation and ongoing operation of the mySAP ERP software in support of the Medical College’s administrative operations. This role ensures the availability and integrity of the application technology stack necessary to support mySAP. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining the application security environment within NetWeaver..
Job Responsibilities
+ Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the NetWeaver Application Server technology stack which supports the mySAP functional solutions .Financials, Human Capital Management, Campus Management. and the associated Business Warehouse.

+ Installs, configures and maintains the NetWeaver Application Server technology stack including the Basis development and run.time execution environments, the ERP Core Component, the Exchange Infrastructure, SAP Master Data Management and various toolsets.

+ Takes the lead role in planning and implementation of maintenance releases of the SAP NetWeaver technology stack.

+ Develops and maintains baseline technical documentation for the mySAP NetWeaver environment including architectural diagrams, logical mappings, technology version information, application utilization descriptions and system contact information.

+ Acts as focal point for services issues, patches and upgrades with SAP and related ISVs. Tracks and communicates all identified technical issues with SAP.

+ Works with Computer Operations to ensure that resources are adequate and appropriately scheduled.

+ Works with Unix Administration to ensure that the base server hardware and software is appropriately maintained.

+ Work with Application Development to resolve user issues with the use, performance and feature/functionality of the mySAP applications.

+ Develops and maintains the require application security roles within the mySAP application solutions. Based upon the application access requests, assigns the appropriate security roles and other security attributes to each user of mySAP.

+ Monitors the performance of the mySAP NetWeaver production environment. Identifies actual or potential performance bottlenecks. Recommends NetWeaver configuration alternatives to improve system performance.

+ Provides support of production applications including production problem resolution. Provides assistance to Help Desk and Application Support personnel in resolving user help requests.
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field
Six years of information systems work experience.
Two years experience with SAP BASIS technology, preferably with significant experience in a mySAP NetWeaver environment is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Experience with system software documentation and technical writing.

+ Experience with mySAP solutions .Finance, Human Capital Management or Campus Management..

+ Strong conceptual thinking, verbal, and communication skills.
