Position Summary







Develops, creates, and maintains database and software applications\. Responsible for participating in the requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of database and software development projects\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Works with business users and key stakeholders to develop functionality based on requirements and design\. Participates in design and requirements sessions as needed\.



+ Coordinates work with internal and external resources to ensure timely database and software development\.



+ Creates test cases & scripts for newly developed systems/software\. Performs unit and acceptance testing\.



+ Contributes to the development of QA tools as needed\.



+ Fulfills data and reporting needs upon request\.



+ Produces and maintains comprehensive, usable software documentation per project, including requirements, design, implementation, deployment, testing and maintenance\.



+ Performs other related duties as assigned\.







Education







+ Bachelor's Degree in related field







Experience







Approximately 4\+ years of closely related experience\.







8\+ years of software development is preferred\.







Ability to bring together database and software development\.







Proven working experience of one or more Object Oriented languages such as Java and / or C\#\.







Experience with SQL Server, creating data models, performing database optimizations using various techniques like index tuning, writing stored procedures, functions, triggers and SQL scripting\.







Development experience in MVC 5, OOP, MVVM, N\-Tier, SignalR, Singleton, Observable, Factory, State, Prototype and Builder\.







Experience with Big Data \(i\.e\., >400k rows\)







Ability to develop in ASP\.NET required\.







Strong understanding of Windows and Web services\.







Ability to build console applications\.







Knowledge, Skills and Abilities







+ Ability to gain knowledge of and master new technologies quickly and thoroughly\.



+ Ability to multi\-task, communicate clearly, work independently, provide accurate time estimates, and maintain rigorous attention to detail\.







Licenses and Certifications







Working Conditions/Physical Demands







Ability to work off\-hours and weekends for go\-lives, testing and emergencies, as well as light travel between office locations, primarily within NYC is required\.







Occasional moving of computer equipment or similar objects up to approximately 50 lbs may be required to expedite projects\.
