Opportunity at a Glance

As part of the Social Media/Content team, the Social Media Intern will work with Social Media/Content Managers and be responsible for assisting in various social media processes including content inspiration, content production, content archiving, data input and other duties. The chief goal of this position is to provide a learning experience and introduction into the operations of a Social Media and Digital Content team as part of the organization’s Marketing group.

 

An understanding of social media with any hands-on experience (i.e. community management, content publishing, content creation, editorial calendar maintenance, content archiving, etc.) is valuable knowledge for being able to learn and contribute quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in daily creation and tracking of social media content.
  • Assists with compilation of weekly, monthly and quarterly social media reporting and scorecard compilation.
  • Owns and executes process for archiving and inputting published social media content and pertinent data for compliance purposes.
  • Performs other duties related to social media and content management on as-needed basis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of junior status in good standing
  • Minimum 3.0 overall grade point average.
  • Marketing, Communications, Journalism majors strongly encouraged to .
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
  • Content-creation skills (writing, photography, video, design) a plus.
  • Must have aptitude for attending to details and highly value accuracy.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills will be valuable in this role.
