Position Summary

Works as part of a New York City Precision Medicine Consortium to enroll participants into the NIH\-funded All of Us Research Program\. This is a nationwide effort to establish a National Specimen and Health Data Biobank\.

Job Responsibilities

+ Oversees and is responsible for the enrollment of patients\. Ensures proper consent protocols have been followed for program participation\.

+ Serves as a point of contact for the team, leading majority of the daily clinical activities\.

+ Responsible for completing study procedures as required\. This includes taking blood pressure, pulse and height/weight of patients, as well as administering questionnaires\.

+ Collects patient specimens, such as blood, saliva and urine, and submits them as required by the program\.

+ Performs patient follow\-up as needed, ensuring that study procedures and documentation is consistent with NIH regulations\.

+ Assists in the development of research designs\.

+ Assists in preparation of materials and submissions to Institutional Review Board as needed\.

+ Maintains electronic and hard\-copy study files; responsible for data entry as needed\.

+ If required, may need to perform phlebotomy but will be trained appropriately before engaging in these activities\.

+ Provides guidance and training to new and junior research assistants\.

+ Performs other special projects and duties as assigned\.


+ Bachelor's Degree in related field


Approximately 2 years of experience in a clinical setting\. A graduate degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of experience\.

Database management experience\.

Bi\-lingual \(English/Spanish\) is desirable\.

Experience with conducting and carrying out protocols and research coordination preferred, including experience obtaining informed consent\.

Research experience in an academic health center with exposure to a team research environment at all levels \(senior investigators, nurses, research coordinators, lab technicians\) preferred\.

Familiarity with IRB interaction, regulatory policies, database input and report generation preferred\.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Demonstrated ability and willingness to work with tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects and priorities\.

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion\.

+ Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions quickly and resolutely\.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate \(oral and written\) professionally, quickly and accurately\.

+ Detail\-oriented and excellent organizational skills\.

+ Demonstrated ability to successfully work independently or in a team in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines requiring multi\-tasking and flexibility\.

Licenses and Certifications

+ Certification in phlebotomy
