Description **Position Summary**

This person will provide necessary technical help with multiple projects in the field of prostate cancer research. This person will characterize lines, conducting molecular and cell-based assays to investigate mechanisms of tumorigenesis, molecular cloning, performing co-immunoprecipitation and chromatin immunoprecipitation experiments and other biochemical assays. This person will be working with mice (transgenic and xenograft models using immunocompromised mice. This person will be supervised by a postdoc fellow and the principal investigator (PI).

**Position Activities**

A. Perform Hybridoma screen using high-content 96-well imaging and cell culture.

B. Performs and evaluates mRNA and protein expressions in prostate cancer cell lines and tissue samples.

C. Conducts xenograft studies in SCID and nude mice and oversee research technician I in maintaining transgenic mouse colony.

D. Performs co-immunoprecipitation, ChIP, western blotting, luciferase based assays and other biochemical assays.

E. Oversee and perform cell culture experiments including CRISPR/Cas9 transfections and viral infection and FACS sorting of single cells to establish stable cell clones.

F. Oversee and help maintain cell culture area and supplies.

F. Provide technical support to faculty and staff including training of new employees, residents, postdoctoral associates, fellows and students.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Minimum Requirements**

Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 1 year related laboratory work experience with molecular biology (cell biology experience is a plus).

**Skill and Abilities**

Detail-oriented and organized.

Able to work independently and follow through on work assignments.

Strong computer literacy.
