Description Position Summary
The Quality Improvement & Patient Safety .QIPS. Specialist participates directly in the design and implementation of the vision and strategic plan of the Quality Univerisity and the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee programs at the broadest level. Functions as a primary liaison between the participants and activities of both programs and the Vice Chair for QPS. Assists in direct operational management of both programs that will include identifying and addressing project needs, such as participant screening, recruitment procedures, consent, enrollment, study conduct and adherence to project timeline from planning through study closeout. Responsible for assisting with the accuracy of the research protocols and obtaining regulatory approval. As the administrator for all QIPS related activities, other responsibilities will include maintenance and management of the Vice Chair’s calendar, organization of other QIPS.related activities, such as planning and all details for arranging monthly committee meetings and other related workshop activities.
Job Responsibilities
+ Coordinates all aspects of protocol submission for projects. Prepares and submits all necessary documents to the Clinical Science Evaluation Committee .CSEC. and Institutional Review Board .IRB..

+ Assists with central patient registration. Reviews and confirms subject eligibility and regulatory compliance for enrollment of research subjects.

+ Reviews and confirms subject eligibility and regulatory compliance for enrollment. Submits eligibility exceptions to the IRB.

+ Ensures strict adherence to study requirements according to guidelines set forth in the study protocol.

+ Maintains electronic and hard.copy study files; responsible for data entry as needed.

+ Coordinates calendars and schedules appointments and meetings. Prioritizes requests for meetings and coordinates the necessary arrangements for meetings.

+ Coordinates room reservations and provides on.site support, including assistance with audiovisual equipment set up and refreshments, as needed.

+ Records and distributes meeting minutes.
+ Bachelor's Degree
Approximately two years of experirence in a health systems role, in clinical or research setting
HIPAA training and certification .can provide upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

+ Excellent organization, oral and written skills.

+ Strong time management skills.

+ Detail oriented.

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and data
