Position Summary

Assists the Chairman of the Department of Healthcare Policy and Research at Weill Cornell Medicine \(WCM\) with large scale health services research and healthcare delivery projects of local and national importance\. The mission of the department is to improve the healthcare of individuals and the health of populations in a rapidly changing health policy environment through rigorous, collaborative, data\-driven research, novel educational programs, development of innovative technology and provision of consulting services\.

Job Responsibilities

+ Contributes strategic planning initiatives of the Chair, including linking scientific priorities across the departments divisions, developing scientific content, and maintaining stakeholder relationships\.

+ Assists senior leadership in coordinating day\-to\-day activities of the department\. This includes the Department Administrator, who is responsible for strategic development and the day\-to\-day directions of the department\.

+ Prepares materials for Chairs presentations to internal and external audiences, including WCM and NewYork\-Presbyterian Hospital leadership and potential philanthropic donors\. This includes creating /editing presentations for the Chair to review\.

+ Prepares meeting agendas, meeting summaries, and ensures action items are followed up on appropriately\.

+ Researches and creates reports/provides analysis on scientific issues related to Healthcare Policy and Research, including healthcare data science, high cost/high need patients, health system analytics, and other top priorities of the HPR department\.

+ Provides support to the departments senior administrative leadership and the NYC Clinical Data Research Network and the All of Us Research Program\. Identifies and executes on the need for operational and logistical programming components\.

+ Prepares non\-scientific and non\-budgetary components of grant applications and progress reports for which the Chair serves as Principle Investigator\. Provides ongoing support to the Chairs two large Center grants\.


+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field

+ Master's Degree in related field

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion\.

+ Strong organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to work independently\.

+ Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities\.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills\.
