Job Title Program Coordinator-Elder Abuse Program

Description Position Summary
Provides programmatic and operational support to the NYC Elder Abuse Center. This role also provides case consultations and outreach and training.
Job Responsibilities
+ Provides clinical case consultations to Adult Protective Services .APS. staff and other professionals, as needed.

+ Coordinates the triage and presentation of cases for review by the Center’s multidisciplinary team.

+ Provides limited direct services to victims and family, friends/neighbors, including home visits, in cases when other referrals and resources are unavailable.

+ Conducts outreach and training in order to establish a system for collaborative referrals, consultations and services, as well as improve service provisions to victims.

+ Participates in trainings and workshops on multidisciplinary approaches to address elder abuse at city, state and nation.wide forums.

+ Collects, tracks and reports on data. Assists in the development of programs and policies based on analysis of data and identification of needs.

+ Schedules and coordinates meetings as needed

+ Attends and participates in professional development activities and elder abuse network meetings and events. Represents NYCEAC at community meetings.

+ Performs other job related duties as required.
Education
+ Master's Degree in related field
Experience
Approximately 3 years of related experience coordinating specialty programs.
Knowledge of elder abuse and aging; familiarity with NYC’s elder abuse, aging and adult protective service systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Strong communicator. Ability effectively collaborate with students, colleagues and external constituents. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

+ Must be a self.starter who is very organized and can work independently.
