Position Summary



This role is primarily responsible for managing the workflows of Business Associate Agreement \(BAA\), confidentiality agreements \(CDAs\), data use agreements \(DUAs\), material transfer agreements \(MTAs\), consulting agreements required to safeguard protected health information and personally identifiable information\. This role will also ensure that the proposed terms and conditions and corresponding obligations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policy\.



This position requires strong oral and written communication ability to properly represent the WCM brand and support the WCM community\.



Job Responsibilities



+ Drafts, reviews, and negotiates MTAs, DUAs, CDAs, and BAAs in accordance with Privacy regulations and policies\.

+ Ensures related documentation adhere to institutional policy and practice\.

+ Responsible for meeting contract performance based metrics while maintaining a large contract portfolio across institution\.

+ Coordinates with and seeks advisement from subject matter experts and other departments to ensure appropriate contract language\.

+ Tracks submission of BAA requests\. Submits requests and tracks completion of ITS risk assessments\. Tracks and ensures completion of all required documents needed to process privacy contracts within department time frame\.

+ Collaborates via phone, email and in\-person meetings with internal and external customers and adheres to WCMs high service level agreement response times\.

+ Serves as the liaison between privacy office and WCM community on Privacy related contracts\.

+ Consults with Chief Privacy Officer on contracts for approval of contract variations and modified terms\.

+ Assists in the development and implementation of internal contracting policies and procedures\.

+ Generates ad hoc reports, participates on special projects and performs other related duties as assigned\.



Education



+ Bachelor's Degree



Experience



Bachelor's Degree in related field, paralegal experience preferred\.



Approximately 2\+ years of related experience\.



Understanding of contract negotiations and/or healthcare knowledge or contract experience\.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



+ Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications\.

+ Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English\.

+ Self\-starter with a demonstrated ability to achieve results as part of an effective team\.

+ Ability to multi\-task and self\-prioritize work\.

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high\-pressure, complex environment\.

+ Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail\.

+ Must be able to meet deadlines\.
