Description Position Summary
Provides a wide range of administrative support and assists with projects related to IT functions within the department.
Job Responsibilities
+ Answers phones, responds to inquiries and triages calls to appropriate personnel.

+ Coordinates calendars and schedules appointments and meetings. Prioritizes requests for meetings and coordinates the necessary arrangements for meetings.

+ Responsible for procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment as needed.

+ Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.

+ Assists with the set.up, upgrade and archival of departmental hardware and software. Orients faculty and administrative staff to new and/or existing resources.

+ Liaise with ITS to oversee phone and computer connections for new and relocated staff. Handles all IT related transactions. Handles all server issues such as access, storage and billing. Reconciles ITS data and server billing.

+ Responsible for the registration of departmental hardware. Maintains departmental records of all registered hardware.

+ Assists with the assessment of user technology needs and determines appropriate hardware and software packages for procurement.

+ Assists with security threats analysis as it relates to technology services.

+ Assists with special projects as assigned
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field
Approximately 2 years of related experience.
Comfortable working with various technologies.
Knowledge of hardware and software is desired but not required.
Experience in computer support or internship experience is desired but not required.

+ Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with multiple constituencies and exercise "people skills".

+ Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.

+ Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.

+ Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.

+ Ability to multi.task and self.prioritize work.

+ Demonstrated ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation and demeanor.

Position requires the ability to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings and/or late nights, depending on project requirements.
