Position Summary

The Marketing & Communications Manager \- All of US Research Program plays a critical role in helping to meet the program milestones set forth by the grant for Weill Cornell Medicine\. In particular, responsible for developing and executing a marketing/communications plan for each phase of the project in order to reach, successfully recruit and maintain the participation of diverse populations within the Weill Cornell Medicine catchment area\.

Job Responsibilities

+ Develops and executes a communications/marketing multi\-year plan with objectives and strategies to heighten program awareness against well\-defined audiences and then actively manages the programs and tactics that support the plan\.

+ Develops communications/marketing campaigns using NIH\-approved branded materials for the All of Us Research Program\.

+ Responsible for managing communications and marketing projects from initiation and selection of design, writing, editing and photos through the printing process and delivery, utilizing the All of Us brand portal for approved materials\.

+ Through communications \(internal and external\) and marketing channels, engages existing patients, the campus population and the public in the enrollment of subjects for the All of Us program\. Works ensure appropriate HIPAA regulations are followed\.

+ Creates social media content and promotes the All of Us Program through various approved outlets to increase engagement\.

+ Identifies software and/or other tools to enable implementation of social media content promotion, listening and metric analysis\.

+ Promotes and educates on the aims and objectives of the All of Us program through outreach with community\- based organizations and government agencies\.

+ Designs and manages the posting of content on departmental and All of Us research program web properties\.

+ Reviews and proofreads all externally distributed correspondence to ensure consistency with All of Us approved brand materials and meaningful impact to target audience\.

+ Monitors budget and incoming payments for the production of materials with outside vendors\.

+ Monitors social media conversations and trends to identify opportunities for content, conversations or collaborations within Weill Cornell Medicine and with external organizations\.


+ Bachelor's Degree


Master's degree preferred

Approximately 5\-7 years of related experience in a communications and/or marketing capacity

Previous experience working with communications on intranet and web

Knowledge of and/or experience with enrolling participants in research studies and/or clinical trials strongly desired\.

Familiarity with NIH or other federal government grants or working with government oversight and direction\.

+ Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills and must be highly detailed oriented\.

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner with all departmental faculty and staff, as well as other institutional representatives\.

+ Demonstrated ability to apply a wide variety of communication techniques to deliver constructive feedback to subordinates, peers and management\.

+ Demonstrated ability to allow objective judgment and discretion as necessary\.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet time line constraints/deadlines\.

+ Demonstrated ability to apply conflict resolution techniques to successfully overcome differing viewpoints\.

+ Skilled in determining strengths and weaknesses in subordinate staff, and able to identify areas for growth\. Demonstrated ability to coach, train and provide staff development\.

+ Demonstrated leadership in developing and managing position requirements including the ability to supervise and motivate staff and develop performance measures to maximize productivity and work quality\.
