Position Summary







Under the guidance of the Director, this position is responsible for managing all institutional data collected and compiled by the Office of Institutional Reporting, managing daily activities of staff in office and assists in support of the mission of the office and Information Governance Initiative\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Oversee analytical and business modeling; review accuracy of the numerical, interpretative and diagnostic outcomes\. Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources; reconcile conflicts and breaks out high\-level information into details\.



+ Manage the preparation, maintenance and administration of data associated with the institutional data dictionary; provide dictionary updates to institutional constituents and for posting to departments website\.



+ Develop, maintain and update the institutions information governance policies; research and propose best practices of peer institutions to senior management; provide updates to institutional constituents and the departments website\.



+ Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor performance; use quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to support decision making; provide insights, trends and opportunities for planning initiatives and strategic projects\.



+ Manage the data collection, review and submission of all surveys submitted by the Institutional Reporting Office\. Update the schedule for new surveys added, assign responsibility of data collection to ensure adherence to deadlines\.



+ Evaluate various databases/data repositories, development of reliable data resources as a pipeline to information, identify data relationships and dependencies\.



+ Collaborate with IT/business units to ensure reporting requirements are met\. Assist in process re\-engineering in order to meet end state reporting goals\.







Education







+ Bachelor's Degree in related field







Experience







Experience in higher education, academic medical centers and healthcare fields







Extensive knowledge and/or experience with MS Excel, including v\-lookups, pivot tables, IF statements and other functions







Expert proficiency with Microsoft products: Access, Powerpoint and Word







Knowledge in database development, data warehousing concepts and technologies or relational and dimensional data modeling and database design skills\.







Experience with database software or enterprise resource systems







Experience in visualization software, like Tableau or Lumira
