Position Summary







The IT Disaster Recovery Analyst is responsible for building and sustaining Weill Cornell Medical College \(WCMC\) ITS DR program under the direction of the IT DR Manager\. The DR Analyst will have direct involvement with all ITS teams to help achieve goals and milestones associated with DR planning and implementation for all assigned projects\. This position guides acceptable methods for disaster recovery planning, preparedness, management and mitigation of IT systems and services\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Assists in building ITS emergency \(continuity\) plans and periodic testing\.



+ Assists in planned and unplanned downtime and related incident management\.



+ Build and sustain ITS DR program for vital technology services and data managed by ITS, and assist in tracking DR policy compliance



+ Contributes to DR program continuous lifecycle\.



+ Coordinates DR test, plan and audit updates, keeping this documentation in sync with our changing IT environment\.



+ Creates, delivers and participates in training and awareness activities\.



+ Participates in business impact analysis \(BIA\), risk assessment \(RA\) and capability analysis \(CA\) activities\.



+ Participates in maintaining WCMC / ITS notification tool\.



+ Represents the DR program to clinical, research, academic and administrative clients\.



+ Tracks and reports on DR program, metrics, budget and operating expenses\.







Education







+ Bachelor's Degree in related field







Experience







Must have at least 3 years of progressive IT and disaster recovery experience, preferably in a large corporate, educational, healthcare or enterprise environment\.







Knowledge, Skills and Abilities







+ Proven oral /written communication, organizational plus technical skills\.
