Description Position Summary
Responsible for planning, executing and managing business requirements documentation including but not limited to developing approach, structure and tracking.
Job Responsibilities
+ Facilitate institutional and cross.functional meetings and communicate with identified users, management and technical team members

+ Identify, analyze, gather and translate business and product needs into business requirements, as well as plan for the most effective/efficient approach

+ Direct group with contrasting ideas/needs towards a common solution; gain consensus and approval on requirements

+ Manage the product needs/requirements and work with the business and technical teams to support the implementation of an appropriate solution

+ Facilitate and manage business requests, setting proper stakeholder and user expectations; manage business requirements change control. Serve as a communications hub among business clients, project stakeholders, and the defined solutions team.

+ Develop business process models, use cases, and supporting report layouts as is necessary to capture business needs and desires; prepare requirements traceability matrix for tracking of business prioritization

+ Work closely with business users and management to determine organizational needs, systems and operations requirements, customer rollout requirements, legal/compliance implications, etc.

+ Reviews project requests to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, procedures for completion, staffing requirements and allotment of resources. Assesses proposed projects against institutional technical architecture and policy standards.

+ Works with the technology team to shepherd project requests to approval/denial for ITS/POIS Leadership. Keeps project requestor updated throughout the analysis, discovery and decision processes.

+ Establishes reporting metrics for project portfolio and resource planning .qualitative and quantitative.. Ability to organize, trend and present project portfolio and resource metrics.

+ Assists the ITS Training Team in the development of documentation, on.line help, training material and quick reference guides.

+ Assists Portfolio Manager in maintaining project portfolio, checks for accuracy, identifies data quality issues, recommends corrective actions, works with team members to implement corrections.

+ Participates in the evaluation, selection, maintenance and continuous enhancements of project management methodology, tools and templates, and contributes to the overall improvement of the PMO.

+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
+ Bachelor's Degree
Approximately 6 years of business analysis experience in implementations, business requirements gathering and documentation, work flow analysis, change management.
CBAP or IIBA certification or equivalent highly desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Working knowledge of MS office tools .MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.

+ Working knowledge of BABOK & PMBOK

+ Working knowledge of ITIL.

+ Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience.

+ Experience working in a project management office .PMO.

+ Strong training and technical presentation skills are required.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
