Description **Position Summary**

This Identity and Access Management engineering position requires a passion for building and implementing security and identity management in a fast-paced environment. It will involve all technical aspects of identity and access management and require participation in project oriented work. This position provides the opportunity to participate in multiple areas of IT infrastructure to develop and implement identity and access solutions for our environment without diminishing productivity.

**Position Activities**

Ensure WCM identity and access management infrastructure is running optimally and effectively

Support ongoing and new IAM, security and compliance initiatives

Improve efficiency by automating and orchestrating repeatable tasks

Develop and maintain technical solutions for the ongoing improvement of identity life cycle management.

Review and remediate identity and access management related tickets within IT Service Management System

Manage IAM log data including configuring log sources, dashboards, rules, and reports in Splunk

Do innovative identity and access management work identifying, deploying, and integrating IAM and related technologies

Develops and maintains metrics and reports to provide senior management insight and evidence supporting effectiveness of IAM infrastructure, controls, projects and processes

Evangelize IAM and secure practices while promoting and maintaining a favorable and positive work environment for yourself and others to assist in the overall mission of the medical college and hospital

Fosters close working connections with staff and management to ensure the secure design and operations for WCM applications and infrastructure while acquiring and retaining comprehensive working knowledge of all infrastructure and related systems

Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Minimum Requirements**

2 or more years security or IAM related experience; Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Experience with LDAP, Two-factor, SAML and other authentication technologies

Experience using and managing open source technologies without vendor support

Experience with Ruby, Python, PHP, PowerShell, SQL, and/or other shell scripting, or experience developing complex web applications in Ruby on Rails

Ability to explain in detail how networking protocols (TCP/IP) and service protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, SSH, SMTP, SAML, DNS) function

Extensive experience managing Linux servers including Apache and configuration management with either Salt, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, or extensive experience deploying and supporting multi-tier and highly available web servers/applications/services

Strong problem solving and decision making skills and the ability to make decisions independently

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, on both technical and non-technical topics

Comfortable working with technologies at all levels of the OSI model, layers 1 through 7

**Highly Desired Requirements**

Passion for Identity and access management, security and privacy, and a practical and balanced approach to access management

Strong understanding of virtualization and Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) technologies and can make recommendations on its use it securel

Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and with a project management office

Previous experience within Information Technology at Academic Institution and knowledge of regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, etc.)

Experience with administrating authentication technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Sun LDAP, UnboundID LDAP, Shibboleth, SimpleSAMLphp, Kerberos, OpenID Connect, Oauth, and federated identity management

Experience developing web based solutions that integrate with LDAP as a data source, preferably with Ruby on Rails

**Skill and Abilities**

Fluency in navigating and using Mac OS X, Linux, and/or Windows

Familiarity with SharePoint, DropBox, Confluence (wiki), ServiceNow or similar documentation storage and management systems

Ability to create and present diagrams and reports for technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to think outside the box in terms of designing systems and solutions

Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and work off-hours as needed

Ability to produce professional-level documentation and reporting using Microsoft Office

Must be able to work in a very demanding and high pressure environment
