Position Summary







Under general supervision, provides administrative support associated with pre\- and post\-award sponsored research activities and services on routine sponsored projects such as federal and foundation grants







Job Responsibilities







+ Assists faculty in the preparation of grant submissions and associated documentation, which may include just\-in\-time documents, progress reports, routing forms, abstracts and manuscripts\.



+ Coordinates pre\- and post\-award activities for all sponsored research projects, including training grants\.



+ Generates reports for dissemination to departmental administrators and staff\.



+ Provides administrative support with grant transactions including the review and approval of purchases/charges and reconciliation of accounts; payment requests; submission of Change of Funding requests; and preparation of expenditure correction requests\.



+ Processes appointments and terminations of all trainees appointed on the NRSA Training Grant and on individual fellowships\.



+ Advises faculty and staff on policies related to purchasing and travel and business expense reimbursements\.



+ Updates Effort Tracking System on a quarterly basis and completes Annual Effort Reporting records\.







Education







+ Bachelor's Degree in related field



+ High School Diploma







Experience







Approximately 2 to 3 years of related experience, preferably within the medical research field
