Description Position Summary
The Financial Operations Administrator reports to the Research Operations Administrator, who provides administrative, operational, and financial oversight of assigned functional units within Research Administration in support of the overall research mission and strategy. The Financial Operations Administrator will utilize information from the institutions financial accounting systems, billing systems, databases and spreadsheets to process and/ or facilitate various financial transactions related to research and financial operations. S/he will liaise with General Accounting, Purchasing and Accounts Payable to resolve issues, as necessary. Key responsibilities include assisting core directors with invoicing and accounts receivable, and assisting in the evaluation of existing administrative systems and implementing improvements for increased efficiencies. S/he will apply and track the billing, collections and reconciliation and will coordinate, train, streamline and improve core billing processes and systems by working directly with internal and external staff, including but not limited to, core directors, core facility clients, and business systems staff .e.g., SAP business analysts and iLabs staff..
Job Responsibilities
+ Provides support to CLC core directors and staff on billing and invoices for services

+ Works with SAP general ledger system and iLabs billing system to verify billing and receivables

+ Processes wire transfers, checks, journal vouchers and both inter. and intra.institutional transfers

+ Improves financial performance by analyzing results; reconciling financials; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management

+ Coordinates core staff training on the utilization of the iLabs billing system

+ Communicates monthly revenue impacts to leadership

+ Create Purchase Orders and lines.of.credit
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field
Approximately 1. 2 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Strong knowledge of the SAP general ledger, excel and iLabs billing systems is preferred.

+ Excellent computational and communication skills.

+ Strong organization and communication skills.
