Position Summary

Responsible for all of the Early Intervention \(EI\) Program Coordination functions of the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain \(CADB\) NYS Early Intervention program as well as classroom instruction\. This role is a key member of the EI Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team and is responsible for the overall administrative coordination of the Early Intervention Program\.

Job Responsibilities

+ Coordinates evaluations and assessments with parents and professionals both at CADB and at other sites, including initial assessments, six month reviews and annual evaluations resulting in an Individual Family Service Plan \(IFSP\)\.

+ Facilitates any necessary changes to the IFSP, monitors the delivery of early intervention services in accordance with the IFSP and attends all reviews, amendments meetings and Committees on Preschool Special Education \(CPSE\) transition meetings as needed\.

+ Serves as a liaison to Service Coordinators outside CADB and parents of children entering the program, providing Early Intervention intakes, and ensuring all documentation is in place\. Assists families transitioning out of the EI program\.

+ Facilitates multidisciplinary and supplemental evaluations at CADB with outside Early Intervention officials for children considered for entry into the EI program\. Shares information with families, as appropriate and required\.

+ As needed, leads family education sessions, in home or at the facility\.

+ Develops group treatment goals, lesson plans, and target outcomes for children\. Administers, scores and reports findings to determine EI eligibility\.

+ Maintains clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and center's policies and procedures\.

+ Keeps abreast of standards and best practices within the field\. Disseminates information to colleagues and/or staff as appropriate\.

+ Assists in operational functions such as tours for prospective families, billing, supply orders, classroom preparation and clean up, accreditation standards, etc\.

+ Performs other related duties as assigned\.


+ Master's Degree in related field


Board Certified Behavior Analyst \(BCBA\)/Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst \(BCaBA\)


Must be certified by NYS as Teacher of Special Education or Teacher of Students with Disabilities

\(Birth Grade 2\)\.

Licensed Psychologist, LMSW or LCSW\.

Approximately 6 months to 1 year of Early Childhood Autism experience\.

Classroom Training Certification Course required within first 6 months of hire\.

Ability to conduct initial evaluations and psychosocial assessments and to establish individualized and measurable treatment goals\.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within an interdisciplinary teams\.

+ Demonstrated self\-awareness to identify learning needs and capacity to apply feedback into practice

Licenses and Certifications

+ Certified by NYS as Teacher of Special Education or Teacher of Students with Disabilities \(Birth Grade 2\)

+ Licensed Psychologist, LMSW or LCSW

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Ability to hear, talk, walk, stand, bend and stretch\.

Ability to read, write and interpret documents\.

Normal routine duties involve no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue, but there is potential for exposure\.
