Teach 36 credit hours or equivalent over an academic year in one or more related areas including architectural technology, sustainability, construction principles, etc., with the primary instructional area being architectural technology. Teaching assignment may include day, evenings, weekends, and/or multiple campus locations. Theory and hands-on teaching of all Drafting and Design Technologies related subjects. Develop, revise and update curriculum in collaboration with the department faculty and chair. May develop and teach online courses. Instruct, support, advise and provide timely feedback to students in accordance with DACC policy and procedures. Participate in and serve on department, division, and college committees, task forces and working groups. Maintain professional and academic competence and participate in professional development activities. Oversee cooperative education and student placement. Maintain office hours as mandated by division and college policy. Function as advisor to students, both individually and as assigned to student clubs and groups. As a 12-month faculty member, will perform program administrative duties to include but not limited to: development of program schedules; development of assessment plans and associated reports; perform annual program review and associated reports; oversee any specialized accreditation/certification to include application, reporting, and site visits; coordinate and facilitate Drafting and Design Technologies program advisory committees and meetings; complete applicable reports when requested; maintain records of student credentials/certifications; and collect and submit information for grant applications and reports. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Architectural Technology or closely related field. Degree must be in hand by date of hire.
Documented competency in CAD drafting and modeling, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other related software packages including: AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
Documented knowledge of construction practices, codes, and standards.
Three (3) years full-time business/industry work experience in architectural drafting and design, related technical fields, and in responsible capacities.
