Description Position Summary
Provide innovative scientific and drug development leadership.The candidate leads biologics discovery projects at the Tri.Institutional Therapeutics Discovery Institute .TDI.,and is responsible for testing program.specific hypotheses to efficiently advance complex biologics discovery research projects.
Job Responsibilities
+ Provide scientific expertise and leadership on biologics drug discovery research programs in collaboration with academic institutions, and support collaborations with biotech, pharma, and CRO partners

+ Support novel biologics discovery projects at diverse stages ranging from target validation, through proof of concept studies in disease.relevant models

+ Lead efforts in biologics drug discovery to generate a data set for pre.clinical candidates for programs targeting a wide variety of disease indications

+ Identify project risks and contingency planning, prepare study/program related materials, and perform other activities associated with research programs

+ Actively represent the TDI within the scientific community
+ PhD in related field
At least 12 years of biologics drug discovery experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
An established professional track record of solving complex drug discovery problems, as evidenced by publications or patents
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Deep understanding of the biologics drug discovery process, including target validation, lead identification, lead optimization, lead characterization, and disease.relevant systems

+ Extensive knowledge of the in vitro and in vivo pharmacology models coupled with an appreciation for the critical issues ever.present in drug discovery and development

+ In.depth expertise in antibody engineering, formatting, and biophysical & biochemical characterization of antibodies

+ Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills in addition to rigorous scientific thinking

+ Highly organized and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

+ Ability to independently solve problems related to CRO monitoring and management
