Position Summary



Undertakes campaign and departmental fundraising activities in support of Weill Cornell Medicine\. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding special gift prospects and donors\.



Job Responsibilities



+ Oversees proper acknowledgement and recognition for special gift donors\. Monitors stewardship activities for special gift contributions, implementing reporting schedules and recognition events where needed\.

+ Communicates with faculty about campaign priorities and departmental needs\. Participates in face\-to\-face briefings, solicitations, and gift negotiations in partnership with Dean, department chairs, faculty, Vice Provost and others\.

+ Actively works to upgrade special gift donors to the Major Gifts \($100,000\+\) level\. Identifies and refers prospects as appropriate toward this end\.

+ Maintains a current knowledge of the funding needs within the scope of responsibility; identifies prospective donors for those needs\.

+ Plans and executes strategies from cultivation activity to gift solicitation and closure, and implementation of that strategy in coordination with appropriate physicians\.



Education



+ Bachelor's Degree in related field



Experience



Approximately 2 years of direct fundraising experience\.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



+ Creative thinker and problem solver; ability to think critically\.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills\.

+ Colloborative style and agility, the capacity to adapt to changing priorities and refine strategies after feedback\.

+ Ability to multi\-task and self\-prioritize work\.

+ Ability to meet deadlines and work in high volume work environment\.
