Position Summary







Responsible for collecting, managing and analyzing all programmatic data as it relates to the MD\-PhD Program applicants, students, alumni as well as the students and alumni of the Gateways to the Laboratory Program\. In addition, this position will oversee, create and execute the MD\-PhD Programs communication portfolio and branding\. This role works closely with all medical education departments within the Weill Cornell Medicine, as well as the three graduate schools that make up the MD\-PhD Program: The Weill Cornell Graduate School, The David Rockefeller Graduate Program and the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate Schools\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Oversees progress tracking of all students\. Ensures that requirements are met in accordance with the policies that govern academic progression\.



+ Responsible for maintaining student and alumni records in accordance with FERPA guidelines\. Manages the data collection, review and submission of all surveys and other data collection methods\.



+ Designs and generates metrics and reporting packages for various bodies \(local and national\) on current outcomes, trends and needs; creates reports based on the academic mission of the Tri\-Institutional MD\-PhD Program\.



+ Develops reports, dashboards & metrics to monitor performance & seek trends\. Uses quantitative analysis, data mining & the presentations to support decision making\. Provides insights, trends & opportunities for planning initiatives & strategic projects\.



+ Oversees enrollment, tracking, auditing, reporting, and certifying of academic progress, which includes changes in status such as leaves and probation\.



+ Maintains accurate and detailed records of advisors, graduation rates and all milestones\. Reports on all records and highlights trends\. Prepares data and tables for all government \(NIH\) grants\.



+ Oversees reporting to faculty and other schools, departments, NIH and to other entities as required, in compliance with FERPA and other applicable legal regulations\.



+ Responsible for student information system\(s\) and web interface\(s\) as they pertain to data related functions and services\. Responsible for maintaining documents that preserve the institutional memory\.



+ Collaborates with administrators, deans, faculty, IT, course directors and advisors to facilitate and improve services to students\. Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external constituencies to ensure continuity and transparency\.



+ Collaborates with IT to ensure reporting requirements are met\. Assists in process re\-engineering to meet end\-state reporting goals\.



+ Oversees the communication, marketing and branding portfolio for both the MD\-PhD Program and the Gateways to the Laboratory Program\. Responsible for the short and long term strategic brand planning\.



+ Creates comprehensive marketing plans with targeted goals, objectives, methods, quantifiable outcomes and timelines\.



+ Designs, directs and executes strategic marketing plans to support branding initiatives\. Creates communication and branding materials that can be used in person, virtually and via social mediums\.



+ Provides strategic direction to web designers and writers and works collaboratively to upgrade, enhance and maintain the departments website\. Creates and edits content for the department's website and social media presence\.



+ Works to increase programs' internal and external visibility\. Develops marketing campaigns, branding material and internal and external outreach plans for applicant recruitment and student and alumni engagement\.



+ Serves as the primary liaison with the Department of External Affairs\.



+ Performs other related duties as assigned\.







Education







+ Master's Degree







Experience







Approximately 5 years of data management experience and 3\-5 years of marketing experience\.







Proven ability to manage projects from concept validation through execution\.







Excellent computers skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite\.







Basic understanding and history using relational databases\.







Experience with web design, Adobe Suite and social media platforms\.







Experience in academia/higher education programs preferred\.

+ Ability to see the big picture and intricate details\.



+ Ability to interpret data and analyze trends, and communicate the information in a logical way



+ Strong project management skills\.



+ Able to work collaboratively in a team environment\.



+ Able to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision\.
