Description Position Summary
Under general guidance, independently manages the managed care credentialing of the department’s providers This role is also responsible for the appointment, reappointment, promotional and termination process of faculty and non.faculty appointments
Job Responsibilities
+ Responsible for the processing of faculty and/or non.faculty appointments, reappointments, promotions and/or terminations.

+ Compiles appointment enrollment packages for candidates, liaises with the Office of Faculty Affairs and follows up to ensure timely submission of paperwork.

+ Coordinates the Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care application process for the credentialing of departmental providers. Ensures completion and resolves issues as they arise. Tracks provider credentialing and participation status.

+ Coordinates the completion and submission of semi.annual Ongoing Professional Peer Evaluations for medical staff appointments and Focused Professional Peer Faculty evaluations for new medical staff appointments and existing physicians as necessary.

+ Coordinates and follows up on Annual Health Assessments, Annual Hospital Training, annual Organizational Readiness and other regulatory requirements.
+ High School Diploma
Approximately 3 years of related experience in an academic medical center
