Position Summary



Assists in managing clinical projects related to cancer genomics with joint efforts between Weill Cornell Medicine and the New York Genome Center\.



This role assists with managing the logistical aspects of clinical sample cohorts, protocols and coordination, as well as manages clinical sample processing including\- tumor/PBMC/plasma processing, optimization and development of new methods\- such as WGBS and ssDNA library preparation\.



Job Responsibilities



+ Coordinates projects including the logistical side\-sample & clinical collaboration management and IRBs and experimental side\-sample processing \(tumor / PBMC / plasma\) and development of new assay \(cfDNA WGBS, ssDNA library prep\)\.

+ Assists with the development of project plans to effectively describe the scope of the project, and the metrics that will be used to measure success\.

+ Assists with project workgroups, facilitates discussion around project deliverables, identifies action items and follows up on completion, identifies obstacles and opportunities, and obtains additional resources as needed\.

+ Assists with the development of monitoring tools to measure outcomes of various project initiatives\.

+ Coordinates presentations for report outs, including leading the creation of relevant visual presentation materials, and preparing written narrative as needed\.

+ Identifies process improvement opportunities, managing implementation teams and developing strong working relationships with partners to ensure successful project execution\.

+ Engages and advises senior leadership and management throughout the project, obtaining critical decisions and guidance, and ensuring continuous organizational commitment\.

+ Conducts post implementation reviews to ensure plan objectives are met; evaluating successes and areas for improvement

+ Performs other special projects and duties as assigned\.



Education



+ Bachelor's Degree



Experience



Approximately 2\-3 years of related experience\.



Experience with NGS methods\- DNA extraction, library prep \(WGS, WGBS, Chip\-Seq, RNA\-seq\)\.



Experience with working on cfDNA processing is an advantage\.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



+ Independent and capable of managing the interaction with multiple clinical collaborators, biobank management, IRB processing\.
