Description Position Summary
This position is in the Clinical Research Support Core .CRS. at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar .WCMC.Q.. The CRS supports and develops clinical research within the College in collaboration with the College’s faculty, research staff, and affiliated healthcare organizations. The CRS plans an expansion over the next few years aiming to also develop clinical trials capabilities. The post holder will work as part of the team to provide data support to clinical research staff in the College and affiliated researchers.
Working under the Associate Director of Clinical Research, the Clinical Data Analyst will gather, organize, back up, and analyze clinical data from multiple data sources. The incumbent will provide oversight to the clinical research data system while performing extensive hands.on clinical database development from workflow to protocol submission.
Job Responsibilities
+ Oversee and maintain the data management needs of the Clinical Research Core and is responsible to ensure data validation, integrity, quality, back.ups, and readiness for data analysis.

+ Support the development of a robust clinical research data system with data manager roles and responsibilities. Work closely with the Associate Director of Clinical Research, faculty and ITS to create customized systems for individual researchers.

+ Participate in software testing activities, correct any reported issue on application to ensure the quality of deliverables.

+ Develop and creates custom datasets & reports by building queries for individual end users in research and export these to statistical packages such as SPSS or SAS.

+ Perform, test, and document data migration of clients’ research data from legacy systems such as MS Access.

+ Collaborate with research partners in study design and implementation including determining appropriate methods for data entry and maintaining consistent data management protocols.

+ Train staff on use of the electronic data system and create a data management plans. Work with the Associate Director of Clinical Research to create Standard Operating Procedures for programming and data management as needed.

+ Responsible for assisting CRCs to link data from portable electronic devices daily. Is proficient with HIPAA, HLA.7, and 21 CFR Part 11 electronic regulations to be in compliance with institutional, U.S.A. and Qatari regulations and laws.

+ Maintain continuous knowledge on the different equipment used in a variety of clinical research studies.

+ Performs other job related duties as required.
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with academic research
Understanding of SQL and/or HTML.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Strong technical acumen and familiarity with various web development technologies.

+ Proficiency .written and spoken. in Arabic.

+ Ability to solve problems using analytical and systematic methodologies.

+ Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze statistical data.

+ Expertise in statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, and or Stata and working knowledge of data management software such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

+ Statistical and database management experience, including proficiency in SPSS.

+ Strong skills in health services research design, database development and management, and statistical programming.
