Position Summary



Provides centralized oversight and support for clinical clerkships and manages the institution's course evaluation system\.



Job Responsibilities



+ Collects data and responds to surveys, site visitors, publications, etc\.

+ Communicates regularly with clerkship course directors/coordinators to identify and assess monitoring & reporting needs\. Troubleshoot issues\. Visits affiliated clerkship sites to observe and review clinical activities\.

+ Develops and implements standardized tracking systems to ensure LCME compliance\. Compiles data and generates reports as needed for LCME progress reports & internal monitoring\. Assists in ensuring the curriculum meets all education related LCME standards\.

+ Liaises with the Evaluation Coordinator, Educational Support Services, and other clerkship personnel; prepares and distributes overall course, site, and teacher\-learner environment evaluation reports of the clerkships\.

+ Assists with various annual Academic Affairs and OCED events such as the Excellence in Teaching Awards, Curriculum Retreats, and Graduation\. Acted as NEGEA 2013 Conference Administrator, continuing in a consulting role for NEGEA 2014\.

+ Assists Educational Support Services in implementing new technology in the clerkships by coordinating training sessions and creating supporting documentation \(instructions, reference materials\)\. Trains new clerkship coordinators\.

+ Attends regularly scheduled Clinical Curriculum, Curriculum and Faculty Evaluation, Ed Unit, Advanced Biomedical Science, Promotion and Graduation, and Council of Affiliated Deans meetings\.

+ Manages the College's Course Evaluation System for all courses and clerkships and directly supervises the College's Evaluation Coordinator and conducts his her annual performance appraisal\.

+ Prepares periodic reports on the comparability of student assessment and the student evaluation of their clinical experience at all clerkship sites\.

+ Serves as the principal overall manager of the College's curriculum mapping system \(CurrMap\); assists clerkship directors and coordinators with curricular mapping activities, performs searches, and monitors compliance\.



Education



+ Bachelor's Degree in related field



Experience



Knowledge of computers plus prior related experience in education and or medical education systems\.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal and supervisory skills\.
