Position Summary







This role is involved in the creation, operation and execution of Dean's E\-Lab programs\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Interacts and establishes relationships with high\-level biotech industry contacts, including E\-Lab mentors and potential investors\.



+ Provides resources to entrepreneurial WCM affiliates, including scientists, clinicians, staff and alumni\.



+ Develops and edits documents, ranging from business plans for biomedical startups to educational handouts\.



+ Assists in growing and maintaining a comprehensive Dean's E\-Lab website and listserv\.



+ Helps launch Weill Cornell's first Biomedical Business Plan Competition\.



+ Ensures that timely communications take place\. Ensures quality assurance and facilitation of educational programs and networking events\.



+ Serves as the Administrator's representative internally and externally as necessary, including with vendors such as caterers and Events Services to ensure efficient execution of events\.



+ Performs other related duties as assigned\.







Education







+ Bachelor's Degree in related field







Experience







Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, business administration, finance, or other relevant field preferred\.







Approximately 2\-4 years of work experience in a laboratory or startup or an advanced degree in biomedical sciences\.







Experience in website design and/or management and social media site management highly desired\.







Event planning experience, program management, contact management, budget management a plus\.







Art/graphic design experience \(Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint/presentation design\) helpful\.







Due diligence/market research experience desired\.







Knowledge, Skills and Abilities







+ Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications\.



+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and overlapping deadlines\.



+ Demonstrated ability to direct projects, events and consultants\.



+ Excellent communication skills \(both verbal and written\)\.
