Position Summary



Works independently and assumes the responsibility for planning, executing and managing business requirements documentation including but not limited to developing approach, structure and tracking\. Additionally, this role also supports the ITS Enterprise Architecture vision, strategy and technologists\. Assignments will consist of large and medium sized projects spanning across the institution as well as working with WCM Partners and Affiliates\. Responsible for ensuring appropriate usage of templates and governance of procedures, including but not limited to potential training of new staff\.



Job Responsibilities



+ Facilitates institutional and cross\-functional meetings and communicates with identified users, management and technical team members\.

+ Identifies, analyzes, gathers and translates business and product needs into business requirements, as well as plans for the most effective/efficient approach\.

+ Remains focused and objective while directing a group with contrasting ideas/needs towards a common solution; gains consensus and approval on requirements\.

+ Manages and controls scope across business processes and functional areas\.

+ Manages the product needs/requirements and works with the business and technical teams to support the implementation of an appropriate solution\.

+ Facilitates and manages business requests, setting proper stakeholder and user expectations; manages business requirements change control\.

+ Builds strong relationships with project stakeholders\-experience in communicating with virtual teams\. Serves as a communications hub among business clients, project stakeholders, and the defined solutions team\.

+ Develops business process models, use cases, and supporting report layouts as is necessary to capture business needs and desires; prepares requirements traceability matrix for tracking of business prioritization\.

+ Works closely with business users and management to determine organizational needs, systems and operations requirements, customer rollout requirements, legal/compliance implications, etc\.

+ Balances technology and business issues as well as communicates appropriately with both technology and business experts\.

+ Develops impact assessments incorporating both business and technical considerations for the project, and contributes to business capabilities mapping and management\.

+ Supports solution architects with their recommendations and designs to ensure alignment to business needs\.



Education



+ Bachelor's Degree



Experience



6\+ years related experience in implementations, business requirements gathering and documentation, work flow analysis, change management and impact assessments\.



Business operations\- including management of, contributing to or running reports\- experience a plus\.



Government compliance analysis and implementation experience a plus\.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project streams efficiently and diplomatically in a high\-pressure, complex environment\.

+ Outstanding oral and written communication skills and excellent grasp of English language/grammar\.

+ Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills\.

+ Ability to comprehend and translate technical issues\.

+ Ability to synthesize technical information and apply to business solutions\.

+ Master using standard MS Office tools \(e\.g\. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc\.\)\.

+ Able to set priorities, influence others, and manage business/user expectations\.

+ Must be adaptable and flexible\.
