Position Summary

Under general direction, oversees the daily operations of events This role also provides advanced AV system management and technical support for all designated conferences rooms and centrally supported spaces

Job Responsibilities

+ Coordinates events with internal staff and remote sites\. Formulates contingency plans in case of emergent issues\.

+ Maintains a knowledge base of current and future related technologies\.

+ Identifies and diagnoses problems with integrated AV systems, computers and network services\. Coordinates system repairs and warranty coverage with original equipment manufacturers and AV repair shops\. Recommends system solutions and off\-site repairs\.

+ Provides on\-site event management and support at day and evening events\.

+ Ensures that all events are appropriately staffed and operated by the technicians according to the established guidelines\.

+ Assists with the advancement, planning and design of conference room AV integrated systems\.

+ Generates reports for analysis\.


+ High School Diploma


Associate's degree preferred\.

Approximately 2 years of related work experience with integrated real time audio visual operations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Excellent communication skills \(both verbal and written\)\.

+ Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail\.

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with end users of widely varying technical skills\.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

This position requires full mobility and the ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds; Position requires videotaping of lessons or procedures occasionally within gross anatomy involving cadavers and working within patient care areas; Ability to work off\-hours and weekends for events, as well as travel between office locations within NYC
