Position Summary







Plans, delivers and supports all training and support related activities for all applications supported by Ambulatory Clinical Information Services \(ACIS\) within the Weill Cornell Physician Organization and other affiliated systems within Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Assists in the scheduling of customer training, sets up of the training environment \(including hardware and software configurations\), conducts training and evaluates outcomes and any follow up activities\.



+ Delivers training programs on all supported applications as assigned\.



+ Evaluates levels of training needed by end users so that they can achieve proficiency in required system applications\. Customizes and delivers ad hoc training programs using various methods to meet user specific needs and deficiencies\.



+ Ensures faculty/staff adhere to institutional, NIH & other agency regulations/guidelines\. Coordinates site visits\. Assists in the review of legal & other agreements related to basic & translational research, ensuring faculty & institutional needs are met\.



+ Assists in the development, implementation and management of education programs\. Develops and conducts workshops/training\. Prepares guidance materials for faculty and staff and coordinates institutional educational initiatives\.



+ Identify conversion opportunities\. Develop custom management reports for progress in securing optimal pricing and highlight exception purchases outside preferred vendors and contracts\. Works with vendors on automated ordering process using EDI technology\.



+ Link patients to care by making follow\-up appointments and referrals to services\. Schedule appointments and make reminder calls to increase compliance with medical appointments and routine screenings\.



+ Participates, as appropriate, in professional, educational, and supportive JMC seminars, events and community efforts\.







Education







+ Bachelor's Degree in related field







Experience







At least 2 years of combined experience training in an ambulatory clinic setting and working with clinicians, especially physicians, and office staff is required\.Epic Certification is desired from outset, but must be acquired during the first year\. Maintenance of specific module certifications is desirable and is determined over time by ACIS leadership\. Experience in Instructional Design or Adult Education \(IT or clinical\) preferred\.Industry certification \(e\.g\. Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse\) is preferred\.Experience working with computer based learning tools is desired\.







Knowledge, Skills and Abilities







+ Ability to discuss general system attributes and specific capabilities and features in a group presentation setting and to work with others in a matrix management environment\.



+ Demonstrated ability to develop proficiency with unfamiliar toolsets is required\.



+ Demonstrated working knowledge of EMPI, ADT, Registration, Scheduling, Billing, Clinical and ancillary systems utilized in hospitals and physician practices including applicable interfaces\.



+ Ability to work under tight deadlines while providing high\-quality work\.



+ Demonstrated proficiency with all Microsoft Office Applications \(including Project and Visio\), Microsoft SharePoint, and project management/scheduling software\.



+ Demonstrated organizational skills, multi\-tasking, prioritization, critical thinking, analysis, and decision\-making\.



+ Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications, and interpersonal skills\.
