Position Summary



The Department of Healthcare Policy & Research has a robust and expanding educational program\. Under direction of the Associate Director of Education, the Admissions Manager will provide programmatic admissions and marketing operations of the departments educational offerings, including our three Master of Science programs, with specializations in Health Informatics, Health Policy and Economics, and Biostatistics and Data Science, as well as our Certificate Program, which includes tracks in Comparative Effectiveness and Outcomes Research, Health Analytics, Health Informatics, and Health Policy and Economics\.



Job Responsibilities



+ Oversees the admissions process, develops programs and resources aimed at improving recruitment initiatives\.

+ Develops marketing strategies in conjunction with leadership\. Ensures that education website content is up to date\.

+ Supports a wide range of processes and functions, including the planning of program\-related promotional events in conjunction with other staff, as well as communication with students, faculty, staff, and program partners\. Resolves issues as they arise\.

+ Trains other educational staff in using the application software and internal applicant tracking system\.

+ Serves as the primary contact for all applicants and prospective students\. Directs student questions to faculty as necessary\.

+ Plans logistical aspects of operations, such as event/session planning, webinars, information sessions and open houses\. Plans and reports on budgets for events and services\.

+ Serves as liaison with various WCM departments with respect to graduate programs\. Pursues further integration of programs and students into services provided to other programs, such as student housing, student government and other support services\.

+ Required to travel as a representative of the departments graduate programs to recruit students and increase awareness of program through presentations and in\-person meetings\.

+ Collaborates with department's other educational programs as needed\.

+ Performs other related duties as assigned



Education



+ Bachelor's Degree



Experience



Master of Education, Master of Public Health, or equivalent work experience is preferred\.



At least 4 years of working experience in an academic setting, preferably managing education programs\.



Proficiency in social media and experience using various audio and visual software highly desired\.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



+ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytic, communication, time management skills, excellent writing skills and the ability to manage several concurrent tasks\.

+ Must have sufficient familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office, including: PowerPoint, Excel and Word\.

+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and diplomatically in a high\-pressure, complex environment\.

+ Ability to work independently, and to arrange information sessions, set appointments and promote the education programs in a positive manner\.

+ Outstanding oral and written communication skills and excellent grasp of English language/grammar\.

+ Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail\.
