Position Summary

The WCM BioVenture eLab is under the purview of the Office of BioPharma Alliances and Research Collaborations\. This role is responsible for leadership and content design of a program aimed at encouraging and fostering a culture and mindset of entrepreneurship among Weill Cornell's faculty and staff\.

Job Responsibilities

+ Proactively fosters, promotes and supports an entrepreneurial culture and mindset at Weill Cornell through events, public relations, outreach and lobbying\.

+ Organizes and leads special programs including seminars, work\-shops, boot camps and courses, where Weill Cornell community members can develop essential skills for entrepreneurship\.

+ Responsible for instituting an organized mentoring program, drawing on the experience and expertise of Entrepreneurs\-in Residence \(EIRs\) \- recognized thought leaders and seasoned private sector entrepreneurs\.

+ Responsible for developing a network of capital resources including investors and venture capital\.

+ Manages resources such as an e\-Lab website, hosted podcasts, blogs and other resources for entrepreneurial inspiration and training\.

+ Establishes and maintains a clearinghouse of information on relevant courses and capacities, both across the Weill Cornell community and external resources\.

+ Facilitates an establishment of internship opportunities for, and linkages between, Weill Cornell community members with external companies or within other Weill Cornell groups\.


+ Bachelor's Degree in related field


Approximately six years of relevant experience, including experience with entrepreneurship\.

A strong education background and experience working in an academic environment\.

Experience in developing academic training programs\.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Understanding of academic institutions necessary\.

+ Excellent communication skills \(both verbal and written\)\.
