Position Summary



Internally manages all aspects of the professional billing revenue cycle operation for Weill Cornell Imaging at NewYork\-Presbyterian \(WCINYP\)\. Coordinates with the Physician Organization Billing Office \(POBO\) the overall functions of the WCINYP and PO team to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician and other customer relations\. Provides guidance and best practice knowledge, a deep knowledge and understanding of complete revenue cycle processes, metrics and benchmarks, as well as market fluctuation\. Ensures compliance with state/federal laws and regulation for third party payers and maintains ongoing knowledge of mandatory billing forms/requirements along with coding knowledge\. Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating new clinical practice and outreach opportunities WCINYP\. Provides support to leadership in strategic planning, project facilitation, productivity and operations improvement, feasibility studies, and strategic planning\. Educates community practices on the benefits of working with WCINYP, clearly establishing the value of our services and how we are distinguished from our competitors, with our service, our culture and commitment to quality healthcare\.



Job Responsibilities



+ Advises on market trends, provides analysis and quantifies impacts\. Makes recommendations on how to mitigate downside exposure and impacts to new site/expansion plans or equipment acquisition/lease\.

+ Partners with leadership at the POBO to ensure contractual compliance and to resolve any revenue cycle issues\.

+ Works with NewYork\-Presbyterian \(NYP\) Managed Care team to ensure contractual compliance with all payers\.

+ Implements next level of automation and bots\. Works with both parent companies to align needs\.

+ Develops and facilitates strategic planning for WCINYP with hospital and medical college senior administration and implements initiatives\. Participates in assessing feasibility of potential acquisitions\.

+ Assists in payer mix and patient demographic information with continued expansion in Manhattan, and more specifically the outer boroughs\.

+ Leads all facets of billing revenue cycle processes\. Responsible for updating changes to fee schedules annually and as needed\.

+ Manages and follows up on accounts receivables\.

+ Responsible for achieving customer service standards consistent with P\.O\. and departmental standards\. Responsible for achieving A/R management metrics\.



Education



+ Bachelor's Degree



Experience



Master's degree preferred\.



5 \+ years in a hospital or healthcare setting with prior experience of healthcare finance, medical reimbursement and managed care contracts\.



3\+ years managerial experience in a health care setting\.



In\-depth and thorough knowledge of billing requirements/regulations of Medicare, Medicaid, and the major third party carriers\.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



+ Demonstrated leadership competencies, including ability to motivate staff, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work effectively as a member of a team, in a busy, fast paced environment\.
