Job Details

Position Summary

Manages the activities and day\-to\-day operations of the Division of Healthcare Delivery Science and Innovation and supports the Division Chief and Vice Chair for Development and Strategy\.

Job Responsibilities

+ Manages the activities of the Office of the Vice Chair for Strategy and Development, including maintaining calendar, travel arrangements, and processing reimbursements\. Adjusts quickly to shifting priorities and schedule changes\.

+ Coordinates faculty candidate invitations and visitations including travel and lodging accommodations, meeting schedules and presentations and seminars for new faculty recruits\.

+ Contributes to strategic planning initiatives of the Vice Chair for Strategy and Development\. This includes linking scientific priorities across the division, developing scientific content, and maintaining stakeholder relationships\.

+ Contributes to the attainment of the strategic growth goals of the division and department as it relates to faculty recruitment, retention and mentorship, as well as fostering partnerships and collaborations with key external institutions\.

+ Prepares materials for presentations, meeting agendas, meeting summaries, and ensures action items are followed up on appropriately\.

+ Develops and maintains divisional operating budget\. Helps to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, systems and records for the division\.

+ Responsible for overseeing the pre and post award management of extramural grant funding\. In conjunction with principal investigators, develops grant proposals for federal and non\-federal extramural funding and develops budget and budget justification\.

+ Manages expenses and allocation to awarded grants, ensures all appropriate funding agency requirements are met and coordinates grant submission through the Office of Sponsored Research Administration

+ Works with University Counsel on contract development and review\. Recommends revisions to contracts and ensures contract execution\. Develops/maintains database of grant applications submitted to extramural agencies\. Tracks and reports on success rates\.

+ Performs other job related duties as requested and assigned\.


+ Bachelor's Degree


Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field with approximately 5 years of related experience

Masters Degree preferred

Experience working with high\-level stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion\.

+ Ability to work independently and function as either a member or leader of a team\.

+ Ability to handle multiple simultaneous demands and prioritize work\.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint\.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills\.
