Position Summary







Under the supervision of the Assistant Directorfor Office of Clinical Faculty Affairs, provides administrative support for activities relating to the Office of Clinical and Faculty Affairs \(C&FA\)\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Performs routine administrative tasks \(draft routine correspondence, format documents, create files, etc\.\)



+ Manages the Assistant Dean and the Assistant Director calendars and prepares required documentation for scheduled meetings



+ Updates and maintains all Clinical and Faculty Affairs contacts lists



+ Arranges meetings seminars, and workshops, including logistics and prepare preparation of agendas and other materials\.



+ Ensures that the Office complies with the records management policy: create and maintain files for applicants and appointed members; maintain appointment filing systems, both paper and electronic, and ensure files are disposed of in accordance with policy



+ Coordinates onboarding arrangements for new affiliated faculty with the relevant WCM\-Q divisions, including the obtaining the WCM\-Q business cards, white coat, email account, vehicle access permit, and access to DeLib



+ Liaises with the affiliated hospitals to track, collect, and submit academic appointment and promotion documents



+ Maintains confidentiality of information faculty and other academic staff and performs and other job related duties as required



+ Performs other related duties as assigned\.







Education







+ High School Diploma







Experience







+ BA/BS or equivalent preferred\. A combination of education and experience can be considered\.



+ 2 or more years secretarial/administrative experience







Knowledge, Skills and Abilities







+ English language fluency \(written and oral\)\.



+ Excellent communication skills \(both verbal and written\)\.



+ Good analytical and problem solving skills\.



+ Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously\.



+ Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications\.



+ Ability to work independently and within a team\.



+ Creative thinker and problem solver; ability to think critically\.



+ Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities\.



+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion\.

Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar was established in 2001 as a partnership between Cornell University and Qatar







Foundation\. The first medical school in Qatar and a pioneer of coeducation at university level, WCM\-Q offers an integrated program of pre\-medical and medical studies leading to the Cornell University M\.D\. degree\. Teaching is by Cornell and Weill Cornell faculty, including physicians at Hamad Medical Corporation \(HMC\) who hold Weill Cornell appointments\.







Enrollment has grown rapidly from 25 first year pre\-medical students in fall 2002 to over 200 students from more than 30 countries as we entered our sixth year of operation in September 2007\.
