Position Summary







Provides the full scope of acupuncture services for patients and education for the staff and community, with the goal of enhancing patients' well\-being and quality of life\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Conducts acupuncture educational sessions for patients, clinicians and community groups\.



+ Conducts one\-on\-one acupuncture consultations, group acupuncture sessions, and acupressure\.



+ Develops and maintaisn a portfolio of acupuncture educational materials for clinicians and patients, using print and non\-print media\.



+ Documents detailed visit summaries in the electronic medical record and plan for patient follow\-up



+ Provides education to patients, clients, community groups, and staff on the benefits of acupuncture



+ Works primarily with outpatients, but may also work with hospitalized patients



+ Complies with all WCM policies and procedures, and adheres to HIPAA regulations\.



+ Performs other related duties as assigned\.







Education







+ Master's Degree







Experience







Approximately 2\-4 years of acupuncture experience\.







Knowledge, Skills and Abilities







+ Ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation and demeanor\.



+ Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills in person, via email and on the telephone\.



+ Excellent communication skills \(both verbal and written\)\.







Licenses and Certifications







+ Current acupuncture license in state of New York\.



+ Graduate of an acupuncture program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine \(ACAOM\)\.
