Position Summary







Implements, optimizes, and supports the Practice Management and Electronic Health Record \(EHR\) Information Systems for community\-based physician practices\. This position is responsible for in\-depth analysis of practice workflows \(practice management and clinical\) and translating these business requirements into optimal system set\-up and configuration\.







Job Responsibilities







+ Assists with project planning and executes on all phases of the project life cycle and overall support of the registration, scheduling, clinical, and billing information systems including related interfaces, data warehouse, etc\.



+ Engages in the development and maintenance of work management tools, policies, and other improvement initiatives\.



+ Keeps informed of system developments with the institution and affiliates as well as within the industry and related vendor realm\.



+ Leverages available resources to assess, plan & design workflows & subsequent configuration & build to measurably improve registration, scheduling, clinical & billing operations\. Works with practice staff & faculty to define best practices around workflows



+ Provides updates on project status; assists in the creation and delivery of status reports and other project documentation\.







Education







+ Bachelor's Degree in related field







Experience







Epic Certification is desired from outset, but must be acquired during the first year\. Maintenance of specific module certifications is desirable and is determined over time by ACIS leadership\. At least two years experience participating in software installation projects of medium/large size and complexity \(technical and/or soft skills may be exchanged for direct experience\) is desired\.At least four years experience working in, or closely with, ambulatory medical care clinics and at least two years experience working with physicians \(technical and/or soft skills may be exchanged for direct experience\) is desired\.At least two years experience delivering formal, instructor\-led classes in a commercial or university/college setting, or other direct customer service job \(technical and/or soft skills may be exchanged for direct experience\) is desired\.







Knowledge, Skills and Abilities







+ Attention to detail, patience and a positive, customer centric attitude\.



+ Demonstrated ability to develop proficiency with unfamiliar toolsets\.



+ Ability to discuss general project attributes and specific capabilities and features in a group presentation setting and to work with others in a matrix management environment\.
